DIAMOND: PROSPERITY!



Just until weeks ago, there were certain conversations about money I wouldn’t have. I realized it was one of those areas mentioned in my Partnership class in Landmark…an area of “never been there before” I could feel the taboo feeling the mentioning of money in this certain way. I used to have this belief that I couldn’t ask people to contribute to me. I thought that since I’m still able bodied, I’ve got to “work a regular job” to make money. And what I'm doing is actually dedicating my entire life to my passion: The Jewel Project.

And another thing I was afraid to explore…what do I do if I’m in debt and I don’t have the means to pay it off at the rate the credit companies are demanding.

With these unresolved issues, I held myself in the past, in a sort of bondage.
I could see how, there are things I was afraid to talk about, and would rather remain in bondage. So I called a friend and just laid everything out on the table in raw form! being committed to receiving whatever coaching she had. I received a lot of help! I now know of alternatives that I had not known before. For instance I realized that there are companies that will consolidate your debt and negotiate for lower payments and lower interest rates. I used to do that on my own! So now I have alternatives.

So being worried about finances, kept me from feeling or being prosperous. Being prosperous is an experience for me that can include feeling gratitude for every thing I have now! In fact, I practice feeling grateful as much as possible, each day.
That's attractive and that's what attracts!Do you know, I’ve discovered how prosperous I am with whom I’ve attracted into my life, such as Peter, who will help me drive the campervan to Spain! Hallejujah! I discovered how prosperous I am, by being able to go to the forest every day, and to hear a surprising bird call outside my office window? The more I practice this prosperity, the more my senses open up to even more delightful prosperity in all that’s around me.

Coming to Europe by plane, I brought the essentials and one of them is a book written in the 1930’s by Florence Scovel Shinn called “The Game of Life” She weaves all of those rich big words of life all together…Love, Prosperity, Abundance, Forgiveness, Intuition, Being Powerful. It’s a little book. Keep it Simple Stupid! Just teasing, and it’s beautifully simple. Don’t be knocked over by the 1930’s language!

EMERALD: INTELLECTUAL UNDERSTANDING

I just be simplistic about this. If I had just stayed in my meditation and chanting for 20plus years, and said, "I'll just keep doing that. That's enough! Everything will be fine! Especially since I get such a great hit from it!" then I would not be where I am now.

It reminds me of an old friend, when I first met him in India in the early 80's. He was traveling with the sadhus (wandering ascetics). He had spent time in the caves of Girnar over many months, and when I met him in the Himalayas, his goal was to spend the rest of his life in those caves. He declared that was his spiritual path.
Basically, the caves are located way up high in the mountains, far from the Maddening Crowd and far from anyone else! And at that point all he wanted was enough food brought up to him by the villagers, his cooking pot, and chai pot,a drinking cup and his lungi (white loincloth) and, oh yes, a towel! He was a professor and fed up with life, especially the Indians, since it was they, who happened to be in his way!

So he had this blissed out look. Got it? So can you imagine what's missing?

Intellectual understanding. Funny enough, not the kind we get in schools, even most higher education facilities!

So what if I said, intellectual understanding could be understanding yourself. And, I'd like to take it a step further: sorting out what is coming from the ego (or mind) and what is coming from the heart (or inner guidance). Which do you think is valuable to listen to most of the time?

What do you think the head is useful for? calculating square feet
What do you thing the heart is useful for?

How do you do that, listen to your heart, your inner guidance?

That's where intellectual understanding comes in: really learning what to listen to inside of us..

I've been exploring this most of my adult life, and I'm still being the student.

GOLD: PROSPERITY IN BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS

First of all, I would like to break down the word business into something new. Business stands for Bus in the Essentials! OK! Now we're talking! Let's think of a bus filled with ecstatic animals and each one of us is one of the ecstatic animals. Stretch with me! OK?

Now, are we each to be one of the ecstatic animals standing on one's own? like an island?

I say not, unless you really want your own island all by yourself! I think there are still some for sale! How much talking to yourself can you stand? Just reminds me I've got to see the rest of the movie,"Madagascar", cause the animals from the city found these wildly joyous island animals that were having a wild jungle beat dance in the trees. First they looked scary to the Manhattan bunch, but then...

HERKIMER DIAMOND: SEEING OUTSIDE THE BOX






On my search for a camper van in Germany. I had the following expectations:
* must be yellow
* probably not in Munich: will have to take a train to see it
* probably will be over $10,000
* must have air conditioning
* will be difficult to purchase if the owner doesn't speak English

And here are the results, after I let go of my attachment to the above:
* the campervan is white and I'm ok with that
* I committed to finding a van in Munich...makes it much easier and faster since that's where I am!
* the van was less than $10,000!
* I stood for accepting the first van that Klaus (my friend's father-in-law) and I found together and visited, and we did!
* I realized that while driving, I could stay cool with the windows down, or choose to take a break from driving, so I am OK without air conditioning
* I gave up that it would be difficult to purchase a van if the seller speaks only German, and so the seller does speak German!

And I am with a campervan in Munich,Germany just in time to make it to Spain by the targeted date of April 15th, that I set originally! The van will be delivered to me today!

For me, seeing outside the box is a combination of several practices, ways of being:
1. Acknowleging that there IS A WAY to what you want
2. Knowing MIRACLES are happening every moment without necessarily seeing them
3. Do Practices daily that open up the OTHER side of your brain, the creative side, such as: NIA dance or your own impromptu dance;
Scribble,paint,color freely (could be a variety of art mediums: See the book, "The Artist's Way"; Chant Kirtan. See Jai Uttal's website.or use any chant that is in a pre-thought language, where the vibration of the chant takes you into deep stillness; Some of the things I mentioned above are from my own repetoire. You may know other ways of opening up your creative side.
4. Pay attention to signs (seeing something 3 times is pointing you to something.)Be open to receiving a different approach, a different way of arriving.

LABORADITE: DEVELOPING IMAGINATION

What an amazing synchronicity. I write this article in the flat of my friend Gina Kastele here in Munich! She is a trained psychotherapist who uses a lot of art mediums in her work with people. Her gathering room is filled with all sorts of art materials and musical instruments and miniature imaginative characters!

I've found that within me is an amazing resource of infinite wisdom. Over the years I struggled with accessing that wisdom. It's that creative wisdom. It's those ideas that come from out of the box. When these ideas come it feels like they 'dropped in', such as I bent over the bathtub to regulate the water temperature, I had a wild idea drop in, that turned out to lead me in a more perfect direction.

We are like the water tap that's on full flow (did you see the movie 'Under the Tuscan Sun'? Remember how the tap was completely open at the end?

OK, AND, we sometimes cut ourselves off from the full flowing! In fact,it can happen more often than not.

Do you know that when you let the inner wisdom flow, that your ideas are gold?

Do you want that?

Are you ready? Here's one of the remedies for that:

Do some free flowing art every single day. OK, you never took art classes. In my case I don't really feel comfortable drawing objects. You don't need to know anything. Just take oil pastel or crayon to paper and let your hand guide you. As you color, ask yourself, "What do I feel guided to put next? Or just watch to see what color your hand goes for next. Just keep going until you've pretty much filled the page.

There's one rule: leave out any judgement of yourself and your art.

Notice what your day is like after you've done this art.

Can we have both?
schedules and not scheduling?
stillness in meditative state and ecstatic movement
intuition and facts
reaching high and bowing low
flowing like water and halting suddenly in outburst
tai chi and taikwondo
moon calendar and gregorian
loud and spirited...soft and gentle
turning inwards, reaching outwards
sitting in that office chair, rolling on the office rug
plowing forward with actions, pausing in reflection and gathering

When is it one? When is it the other?

Have you ever asked, "What is perfect for me in this moment?"
Then listened and followed that guidance
Communicating to those that might need to know your change,
and trusting that the other truly important actions
will also happen in your perfect time = the time of the universe

think about how people of ancient cultures, lived listening in each moment
think about the sea gypsies who listened to deeply to mother earth
to move out of the way of the tsunami
before they saw it coming
the deeper listening
coming from deep, deep, deep within
OMMMMMMM

Increased Intuitive Awareness

I started as a child and then as an adult doing things that I wondered how did I get there? At the age of 27, I kept saying, "No I don't want to go to India with Talsania (my father's friend). And he kept inviting me and one night I woke up and said, "OK! I'm going! Why not!" I went to India and followed my nose. After two weeks in Mumbai, I said,"I want to see beauty." And so I went to Srinigar,Kashmir. After a few days on a houseboat in murky water I said,"I want to see beauty!" and I took a bus to the steep foothills of the Himalayas! And from there I joined a sacred Indian pilgrimage with newfound friends (one to be my husband) and the first night we camped in an enclosed mountain valley with thousands, without formal restroom facilities, and again I said, "I want to see beauty!" as I fell sick. That's when I had my first big awakening: the beauty I was seeking is inside of me! I carry the beauty whereever I go!" And immediately I felt renewed! I had reached the summit of my search, two days before we actually arrived at the holy cave, which interestingly enough had rioting going on inside!

Hmmm, I invite you to listen to what keeps calling from within you! There are many angles we can approach this from. The first flash of idea that springs forth, before you start ruminating, calculating...is probably an intuition. Sometimes your body will want to move to do something. Sometimes I see a blue light flash at the same moment of divine intuitive thought. And here's a big secret: when I started my journey, 'searching' for what I was going to do with the rest of my life, I used to tell everyone: "I don't know what my life purpose is. I don't know! I don't know! I don't know! Then one day, I realized that by saying "I don't know" I cut myself off from my inner knowing, from listening from inside. So after that I went around telling everyone, " I DO KNOW! AND I'LL LET YOU KNOW AS THINGS UNFOLD!"

Being Bouncy and Joyful!

I tended to be melancholy and serious more of the time in my recent past for a variety of reasons. First I didn't realize that I could be more joy that I already experienced, until I did! It's a funny thing. In the past I used to be shy about expressing my joy and goofiness in certain environments and yet I longed for it! I'm a goofy gal! Interestingly enough, I also suppressed my tears unconsciously for most of my adult life. Here is one of the tools that has helped to bring out more of my emotions:

Let me preface this with..I declared to myself many times that I am happy and joyful, over the last ten years. I attracted more joy bubbling up within me day by day. And I attracted the tools to help me with it!
